Attractions: By now most people have heard of The Eden Project which has been called the 8th Wonder of the World. It is the home of the World's largest greenhouses which are a living theatre of plants. Nestling within a giant 50 metre deep crater overlooking St. Austell Bay are two gigantic geodesic conservatories. One is a Humid Tropics Biome, the other is the Warm Temperate Biome, host to the plants, fruits and flowers of the Mediterranean, South Africa and California. Treyarnon is only 15 miles away and within easy reach of the Eden Project. Other attractions are listed below.
Newquay Sea Life Centre Treyarnon boasts a wonderful golden sandy beach which is patrolled by
a professional life-saving team. The beach is flanked by an area of
slate rock which contains a natural pool large enough to swim and dive
in. There are numerous little pools which provide hours of fun for the
smaller children.
The site itself does not have any entertainment facilities, but after visiting some of these above, walking the stunning coastline and being on the beach all day you will be glad to put your feet up with a nice glass of wine in the evening.
